Armed Police and Chopper Hunt Gunman in Bexleyheath
Armed cops and a police helicopter launched a high-alert search in Bexleyheath on Sunday afternoon. The alarm was raised around 2pm after reports of a man carrying a gun in the Long Lane and Russell Park areas.
Massive Police Operation Ends Empty-Handed
Despite scouring the area, officers found no sign of anyone with a weapon. The helicopter swept the skies as armed units combed the streets but came up dry.
Met Police Stand Down After No Trace Found
A Met Police spokesman said: “Searches had been carried out but nothing had been found and the officers were stood down.
The mystery gunman remains at large, but for now Bexleyheath can breathe a sigh of relief.
