Dog Fatally Mauled in Brutal Attack at Catford Park
Police have launched a probe after a vicious dog attack left a greyhound dead in Mountfield Park, Catford.
Greyhound Juno Tragically Killed
The shocking incident happened just after 9pm on Tuesday, 17 June. Officers rushed to the scene following reports of one dog savagely attacking another. The victim, a greyhound named Juno, suffered critical injuries and was later put down. A community poster described the attack as “brutal” and “traumatic.”
The other dog and its owner fled before police arrived, sparking an urgent investigation by the Metropolitan Police to track them down.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“On Tuesday, 17 June at 21:13hrs police were called to reports of a dog attacking another dog at Mountfield Park, SE6. Officers attended and found the injured dog who later died from its wounds. An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing to locate and identify the other dog and owner,” said a Met Police spokesperson.
