Man Arrested Over Two Terrifying Attacks in West London Parks

Detectives have swooped on a 34-year-old man in connection with two chilling attacks in west London.

The arrest came on Monday, 14 September, after the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted rape. He remains held at a west London police station.

First Assault: Woman Dragged and Threatened With Knife in Northwood

At 2.45pm on Saturday, 12 September, a woman in her 20s was walking through The Gravel Pits park in Northwood when a man grabbed her and dragged her into a secluded spot.

The attacker carried out a sexual assault, threatening her with a knife to keep her quiet. A nearby passer-by approached, giving the woman the chance to call for help. The suspect then fled towards Copse Wood Road.

The victim is currently receiving support from specially trained officers.

Second Incident: Woman Attacked and Dragged Into Ditch in Ruislip

Less than a day later, at around 8.15am on Sunday, 13 September, a woman in her 50s was assaulted while walking through Duck Pond Park, Ruislip.

The attacker covered her mouth, threatening to stab her if she screamed. He pulled her to the ground and tried to drag her off the path into a ditch. The woman’s screams scared him off towards Pinn Way.

Police Link Assaults, Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detectives believe these two terrifying attacks are connected and have launched a public appeal for information.
