ATM Heist Shakes Haywards Heath!
Detectives are hot on the trail after an ATM was ripped from Ansty Cross Service Station on Cuckfield Road, Haywards Heath.
Masked Thieves Strike at 3am
Police were called to the scene at 3am on Thursday, 1 December, after two men were spotted loading the cash machine onto a pick-up truck.
The getaway vehicle, described as a grey or black off-road Jeep, sped off along the A272 towards Bolney.
Police Hunt Masked Duo
The suspects were dressed head-to-toe in dark clothing and wore balaclavas to hide their faces.
Chief Inspector Ben Starns of Crawley Neighbourhood Policing said:
“This was a pre-planned, targeted attack. We want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area.”
“Especially if you saw a vehicle matching this description or caught it on dash cam. It may have taken the A23 via the A272.”
