An eight-month-old baby girl is fighting for her life after a savage attack by an XL Bully-type dog at a home on Siskin Close.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene just after 2:30pm on Wednesday following reports the infant had been bitten. The baby was airlifted to hospital in critical condition.
Dog Seized and Destroyed
Authorities confirmed the dog, a registered XL Bully breed, was seized immediately after the attack and later put down.
Two Arrested Over Attack
An 18-year-old man and a 76-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of allowing a dog dangerously out of control. Both remain in custody as police investigate.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers say the probe is ongoing and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Updates on the baby’s condition and the case are expected soon.
