Knife Attack Sparks Police Lockdown in Abbeywood
Chaos erupted in Abbeywood, South East London, late Tuesday night as police shut down the BP Garage and Harrow Manor Way in both directions following a brutal knife attack.
Man Staggers to Petrol Station Bleeding
A man was viciously stabbed and, bleeding heavily, staggered to the night pay window of the BP petrol station. Large blood stains marked the spot where he sought help.
A shocked BP worker recalled, “A fight broke out, then a man was stabbed. He stumbled over to the window asking me to call an ambulance. He looked in a pretty bad way.”
Police Lock Down Area After Stabbing
Officers from Greenwich quickly sealed off the area, throwing up a mass police cordon and putting the location into lockdown. Paramedics treated the victim before rushing him to hospital.
The worker added, “The police arrived and told us to stay closed for now. There were loads of officers and ambulance crews.”
Violence Strikes Twice in One Night
The Met Police have been approached for comment as this grim attack comes just hours after a masked gang stormed the Abbeywood Arms pub. Two men and a boy, aged 14, 18, and 19, were stabbed during that violent outbreak and taken to hospital.
