Major Cannabis Farm Busted in Rochester Home Raid!
Police Raid Uncovers 54 Pot Plants
Kent Police stormed a property on Gordon Road at 3:45am last Wednesday, after a report of a possible burglary turned into a major drug bust. Instead of thieves, officers found a full-blown cannabis farm spread across multiple rooms, with 54 plants seized and dismantled.
Illegal Electrical Hookup Sparks Safety Concerns
Alongside the stash, cops discovered the electricity was being stolen to power the grow operation. An electrical engineer had to be called in to make the scene safe. Chief Inspector Mat Burbeck warned, “Cultivations like this put money in the hands of organised criminals and often attract associated offending, such as antisocial behaviour.”
Investigation Continues – No Arrests Yet
So far, no arrests have been made as Kent Police probe deeper into the criminal network behind the grow house. Burbeck added, “People tending these plants are often exploited, and the risks to neighbours from stolen electricity are very serious.”
