Protester Climbs Crane and Flaunts Black Lives Matter Banner in East London

Drama unfolded on Saturday afternoon as David Chick scaled a massive crane in Canning Town, East London. At around 3pm on 3 April, the man finally climbed down after hanging a large Black Lives Matter banner high above Hallsville Road, right next to a busy Morrisons supermarket.

Police Arrest Man on Multiple Charges

The Met Police moved in swiftly. Officers remained on the scene throughout the protest, watching the developing situation closely. A Met spokesman confirmed:

“At approximately 3pm on Saturday, 3 April, the man came down from the crane. He has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass, public nuisance and criminal damage.”
