Thief Targets Bournemouth Church in Bold Daylight Burglary

A brazen burglar hit St Stephen’s Church in Bournemouth last Friday morning. At around 9:30am on June 9, an unknown man sneaked into the church on St Stephen’s Way, broke into a private area, and caused significant damage before making off with precious items.

Police revealed the thief made off with a silvery sanctuary lamp, a statue of Our Lady of Walsingham, and a striking gold palm frond. These unique pieces make them easy to spot and hard to sell unnoticed.

PCSO Rachael Buller of Bournemouth Police has urged locals to come forward if they recognise the suspect caught on CCTV or have seen the stolen items for sale. She said, “Any information could be vital to solving this crime.”
