CCTV Released After Brutal Train Attack from Blackfriars to Brighton

British Transport Police (BTP) have issued a CCTV image of a suspect linked to a shocking assault on a train travelling from Blackfriars to Brighton. The attack happened around 2:40pm on Saturday, 24 June.

Passenger Attacked After Sitting Next to Stranger

The victim, travelling with friends, sat beside an unknown man who suddenly turned aggressive. The verbal spat quickly spiralled out of control. The assailant then punched the victim in the head, knocking him unconscious. The attacker fled the train at London Bridge station.

Victim Suffers Serious Injuries

As a result of the assault, the victim suffered bruising and a perforated eardrum. BTP detectives are now hunting the man caught on CCTV and want the public’s help to identify him.
