Train Robbery Shock on Essex Line – CCTV Image Released
The British Transport Police (BTP) are hunting for a key witness after a brazen train robbery on the Tilbury to Pitsea route last Saturday night.
Four Thugs Target Couple With Metal Walking Stick
At around 11.40pm on August 26, a man in his twenties was travelling on the train from Tilbury Town to STANFORD-LE-HOPE" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Stanford-le-Hope. Four men boarded at Tilbury Town. One brandished a metal walking stick and threatened the victim and a woman travelling with him, demanding their phones.
Fearing for their safety, the victim handed over his phone before jumping off the train at Stanford-le-Hope.
Three Teens Arrested, But Police Want More Answers
Police have arrested three 17-year-old boys connected to the robbery, but they have now released them on bail.
To help crack the case, BTP has released a CCTV image of a man they think holds vital information.
