While most lads spent Mothering Sunday with their mums, Liam Bishop from the Isle of Wight was rolling up his sleeves to clean up a right mess left by two reckless drivers. The pair, locals without licences or insurance, dumped and torched their vehicles, endangering other road users and blighting the countryside.
Two Dumb Drivers Spark Chaos
The burnt-out wrecks were abandoned on St George’s Down public byway, posing a serious hazard to passersby and local wildlife. The mindless duo set the cars on fire, hoping to dodge the police – but only left a dangerous mess behind.
Liam Steps Up to Save the Day
Owner of a recovery truck, Liam didn’t hang about. He spent his Sunday hauling the fiery shells away, doing his bit to protect the beautiful Isle of Wight. This isn’t his first heroic clean-up – he also helped remove a dumped fridge from a local beach.
“I try to do my bit when I can,” said Liam. “We live on a lovely island and some people just spoil it. This careless pair put themselves and others, including grazing animals, at risk. As a member of the community, I felt something had to be done to fix their mess.”
