Hit-and-Run Shocker on Isle of Wight

A man was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run on the Isle of Wight this afternoon. The incident happened just after 4pm on Saturday at the junction of Brooke-Copse Road and Palmer Road.

Driver Flees the Scene

Witnesses say a white Nissan failed to stop after hitting the man and sped off. Paramedics and police rushed to the scene, treating the victim before taking him to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be serious.

Hampshire Police have yet to reveal if they are appealing for witnesses or launching a full investigation. More updates to follow as the story develops.
