Boys Hurt in Late-Night Attack Near Barrowdale Road

Police rushed to the scene just after 10pm on Wednesday following an incident near garages on Barrowdale Road, close to Spragg House Lane. Two boys were injured and taken to hospital — one to Royal Stoke University Hospital, the other to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Victims Stable, But Questions Remain

Thankfully, neither boy’s injuries are believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Meanwhile, forensic teams are combing the area for clues.

Detectives Hunt Witnesses After Shocking Incident

“Detectives are working tirelessly to establish exactly what happened and who is responsible,” said Detective Inspector Pete Goodwin from CID. “I’m appealing for anyone with information or who saw what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible, as they may have vital information.”

“If you live nearby, please check your CCTV. If you were driving in the area around 10pm last night, check your dashcam footage. Extra officers will patrol the area to offer reassurance.”
