Manhunt Underway for Murder Suspect After Michelle Hanson’s Death
Police are hunting 32-year-old Carr in connection with the murder of Michelle Hanson at a Brady Street address on December 2. Detectives launched an immediate investigation and have identified Carr as a key suspect they urgently want to question.
Major Police Operation and Reward Offered
A large-scale police operation is in full swing, with several targeted searches underway. Independent charity Crimestoppers has joined the hunt, offering a hefty £10,000 reward for information leading to Carr’s arrest.
Today, officers released a new photo of Carr alongside CCTV footage from December 3 that captures his distinctive walk, hoping the public can help track him down.
Whereabouts and Warnings to Public
Carr, originally from sunderland/" title="Sunderland" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Sunderland but known to frequent 123, is believed to be actively evading arrest.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson urged the public to stay vigilant:
“Anyone who recognises him, has seen him in recent days, or thinks they know where he is should contact us immediately.
We believe Carr might be sheltering in outhouses or empty buildings. Please ensure such spaces are kept locked and secure.
If you spot signs of forced entry or suspect someone is staying there, do not approach them yourself. Report it straight away.”
