Moped and Car Spotted in Suspected Drug Deal
Just before 9pm on Friday, police on patrol in Bombay Street, SE16, caught sight of two vehicles—a moped and a car—mid-suspected drug deal. The officers moved in to intervene.
Car Rams Officers and Flees the Scene
The car sped off but not without hitting two officers. One suffered a leg injury and was rushed to hospital. The other escaped serious injury. Meanwhile, the chase to find the hit-and-run vehicle is ongoing.
Arrest Made After Moped Traced, Weapon Found
- The moped was tracked down to an address on Camilla Road, SE16.
- A man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and remains in custody.
- Police found a firearm, believed to be an air-powered pistol, during a search of the property.
