Man in His 90s Airlifted After A30 Crash
Emergency services rushed to the A30 just before 12:20pm on Wednesday, 26 October, following a two-vehicle smash near Minzies. A red Vauxhall Agila and a Renault recovery vehicle collided on the eastbound carriageway, leaving the Agila’s elderly driver with suspected life-threatening injuries.
Road Closures and Arrest Made
The 90-something driver was airlifted to hospital, while the road was shut down as crews worked the scene. A 62-year-old man from the local area was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation as police continue their enquiries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Investigation units are probing the crash in detail. Police are urging anyone who saw the incident or has useful information to come forward.
