Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) raced to a kitchen fire on Landrail Road, Lower Halstow, Sittingbourne, on Saturday evening. Two fire engines and a team of skilled firefighters arrived pronto, kitted out with breathing apparatus and ready for action.

Swift Action Contains Fire – No Injuries

Firefighters tackled the blaze head-on using high-pressure hose reel jets, containing the flames strictly to the kitchen. A powerful fan was also deployed to clear smoke and keep the rest of the home and neighbouring properties safe.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. KFRS’s volunteer response team joined the effort, offering support and reassurance to the shaken residents.
