Man Fatally Stabbed in Surbiton Road Horror

Tragedy struck on Surbiton Road last Wednesday evening when police were called to a stabbing at 7.07pm. Officers and paramedics found a 32-year-old man with fatal stab wounds. Despite desperate efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been named as Farhad Joseph Khalili from Richmond upon Thames. His family have been informed and are receiving specialist support.

Two Arrested in Murder Investigation

Police launched an immediate investigation. A 27-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder, followed by a teenage boy arrested this afternoon at an address in Kingston Upon Thames. Both remain in custody at separate South London police stations.

“This incident has left another family facing a future without a loved one due to senseless violence. It is an unimaginable loss and my thoughts are with them,” said Detective Chief Inspector Jim Eastwood from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

“Swift action has led to two arrests, but we are still in the early stages of establishing what happened. We urge anyone who witnessed the attack or has information to come forward.”

Police Appeal to Public for Crucial Information

Chief Superintendent Lis Chapple, head of policing for Kingston Upon Thames, added: “People can expect a stronger police presence as we support the investigation. This has understandably shaken the community.

“If you have any information, please speak to officers or contact us via 101, Twitter, or Crimestoppers. We must work together to bring those responsible to justice.”
