Young Man Fatally Stabbed Outside London Restaurant

Police rushed to a stabbing incident at a restaurant on Maldonado Walk, off Hampton Street, at 7.46pm on Tuesday, 14 December.

A 23-year-old man was found with a stab wound to his back. Despite frantic efforts by emergency crews, including London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Victim Believed to be Local Restaurant Manager

Officers believe the victim is Ian Gualavisi, a London-born restaurant manager. His family has been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers. A post-mortem is scheduled for 16 December.

Police Launch Murder Probe, Hunt Two Suspects

The Met’s Specialist Crime Command has launched a murder investigation. Detectives say two men attacked Ian before fleeing the scene on a moped towards Elephant and Castle Railway Station.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood said: “A dedicated team of officers is working round the clock to trace those responsible for taking Ian’s life. My thoughts are with his family as they come to terms with their tragic loss.

“We’re collecting CCTV and speaking to witnesses. Anyone with information who hasn’t yet contacted police should do so urgently.”
