Thief Swipes ID and Drains £9,200 from Dagenham Man’s Bank Accounts

A Dagenham homeowner was left gutted after burglars broke in while he was away, stealing ID documents used to withdraw a whopping £9,200 from banks in Islington and Camden.

Break-In Dates Back to November 2019

Police say the burglary actually happened way back on Thursday, 19 November 2019. The crime only came to light on 7 January when the victim reported it to officers.

CCTV Snaps Suspect Making Cash Withdrawals

Detectives released CCTV shots of a man caught withdrawing cash twice on 6 and 7 January, using the stolen identity. The suspect is described as a white male in his 60s, donning a dark winter jacket, flat cap, and glasses. He also carried a brown leather satchel.
