Woman Attacked from Behind in Shocking Late-Night Assault
Just after midnight on Friday, 7 October, a woman was walking along Prentis Road, SW16, when a terrifying attack unfolded.
An unknown man jumped her from behind, dragging her to the ground and trying to sexually assault her. But the brave victim fought back and screamed for help, forcing the attacker to flee.
Suspect Spotted Fleeing Towards Streatham High Road
The man bolted towards Streatham High Road, heading in the direction of St Leonard’s Church. Police are now hunting him down and need the public’s help.
Police Appeal for Witnesses to Identify Suspect
Detective Constable Lucy Stone, leading the probe, said:
“This was a terrifying attack on a young woman and we are working tirelessly to identify the suspect involved. We urgently need to speak to the man in this photograph and believe there must be people who can tell us who he is.”
