Man in 40s Arrested Over Swastika Hate Graffiti Near London Synagogue
A man in his early 40s was arrested on Wednesday, 3 November, suspected of racially aggravated criminal damage after spray-painting swastikas near a synagogue in Belsize Square.

Police were alerted at 7.40pm on Saturday, 30 October, after reports of a male defacing walls with swastikas around Belsize Square. Officers found more Nazi symbols sprayed on nearby walls, sparking outrage in the community.
Mental Health Act Detention
The arrested man has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act and is currently under medical care. Authorities confirmed they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the hate crime.
Teen Cleared, Investigation Continues
A 16-year-old boy arrested the same day on suspicion of religiously aggravated criminal damage was released without further action. Detectives remain in close contact with local authorities and communities in Belsize Park as they continue their investigation.
