Teen Arrested in Deadly Downham Stabbing as Hunt for Accomplices Intensifies
14-Year-Old Held for Murder
A 14-year-old boy was snapped up by police on Tuesday, November 8, over the brutal stabbing murder in Downham. He remains in custody as cops dig deeper.
Detective’s Warning: More Suspects on the Run
Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said:
“Today’s arrest is a positive development, but we know there were up to two further suspects involved. Our investigation continues at pace and we have a number of ongoing lines of inquiry to attempt to identify and trace the other individuals. I would urge anyone with information which could assist us to come forward.”
Victim Dies After Serious Stabbing
Tragedy struck late on Friday, November 4, when police were called at 11.50pm to Bromley Road in Downham. Officers and the London Ambulance Service found 21-year-old Gabriel suffering from stab wounds. Despite rushed hospital treatment, Gabriel died the following afternoon.
