Jeep Burnt Out After Smash on Top Dartford Road

A black Jeep Grand Cherokee was left a charred wreck after a crash and fire on Top Dartford Road, Hextable, on 29 April 2021.

The drama unfolded around 6.15pm when the Jeep slammed into a metal pole, damaging a roadside camera. Moments later, the vehicle was set ablaze and the driver fled the scene.

Police Hunt Second Car After Incident

Officers are combing the area, carrying out house-to-house inquiries and reviewing CCTV footage. They suspect a second vehicle was involved, possibly a dark blue Volvo XC90, which may have been travelling with the Jeep.

The Volvo is believed to have sped off towards Wilmington after the fire.

Police Appeal for Help and Dash Cam Footage

Detectives want anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage from the area to come forward. Drivers nearby around 6.15pm on 29 April could hold vital clues.
