£100k Cash and 5kg of Drugs Seized in High-Speed M20 Police Chase
Officers made a major bust after stopping a speeding Mercedes on the M20, uncovering a haul of drugs and cash worth around £100,000.
High-Speed Chase Ends Near Junction 4
On the morning of Tuesday 8 October 2019, an unmarked police car tailed the Mercedes as it sped along the motorway. The vehicle was finally stopped just before junction 4, where a marked police motorcycle helped intercept it.
Drugs and Liquid Seized
A search uncovered two carrier bags filled with white powder, later confirmed as amphetamine. Officers also seized four large bottles containing an unknown liquid. Both men inside the car — aged 39 and 33 — were arrested on suspicion of drug supply.
£100,000 in Cash Found at Ashford Address
Following the vehicle stop, police raided an Ashford property linked to the suspects. There, they found around £100,000 in cash. A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of money laundering at the scene.
Kent Police Crack Down on Organised Crime
Kent and 1 Serious Crime Directorate are leading the investigation as part of a wider campaign to dismantle organised gangs running drug networks across Kent. All three suspects remain in custody as inquiries continue.
