Huge Cannabis Haul and Deadly Weapons Seized in Sevenoaks Drug Raids
Over 700 Cannabis Plants Found in Two Separate Raids
Police in Sevenoaks have smashed major drug operations in Horton Kirby and New Ash Green, seizing more than 700 cannabis plants set for destruction. Officers raided a New Ash Green home on 6 February 2020, discovering 74 plants growing in converted upstairs rooms, alongside roughly 2kg of bagged cannabis ready for sale.
Suspicious Building Yields Massive 650-Plant Cannabis Farm
Later that day, patrol officers in Horton Kirby spotted a locked building at Oakview Stud Farm. Power cables and a water supply hinted at a secretive setup inside. The unmistakable smell of cannabis led police to uncover a whopping 650-plant grow operation. Both investigations remain active, with no arrests yet made.
Knives and Knuckle Dusters Confiscated in Zero Tolerance Crackdown
Sevenoaks Chief Inspector Jon Kirby vowed to keep targeting drug criminals and weapon carriers. He said, “There can be no justification for carrying weapons like those seized by my officers. We are fully aware of the deadly impact of knife crime, often cutting short young lives. Removing these weapons from our streets is a top priority.”
The police chief added they would maintain a relentless, zero-tolerance stance on offenders daring to carry knives or other weapons.
As the war on crime ramps up, communities in Sevenoaks can expect continued action against drug dealers and violent offenders.
