Class A Drugs Seized After High-Speed Chase in Deal
A man was arrested in Deal after refusing to stop for Kent Police in the early hours of Thursday, 16 August 2018. The driver sped off from officers on Golf Road at around 1.30am, sparking a police search.
Car Abandoned, Suspect Found Nearby
Police tracked down the suspect and found the abandoned vehicle on Peter Street. A 33-year-old man with no fixed address was spotted close by and detained. A thorough search of the car uncovered suspected Class A drugs.
More Than Just Drugs – Tools and Tech Seized
Officers also found an angle grinder, a torch, and a mobile phone in the vehicle. The man was immediately arrested on multiple charges including possession with intent to supply, being equipped for theft, and driving without insurance or a licence.
Ongoing Investigation
The suspect remains in police custody as detectives continue their enquiries.
