EastEnders Bombshell: Jake Moon Alive After 18 Years!

EastEnders fans were left gobsmacked this week when it emerged that Jake Moon, played by Joel Beckett, is still kicking after an 18-year off-screen mystery. Now, the actor has dropped hints about a full-time comeback to the beloved BBC soap.

Jake Moon’s Shocking Return to Albert Square

Jake Moon was last seen in 2005 trying to escape the country with Chrissie Watts, who was on the run after the murder of Den Watts. While Chrissie was caught at Stansted Airport and locked up, Jake vanished – until now.

Earlier this week, fans were thrilled as Chrissie was paroled and reunited with Jake, who had been patiently waiting for her all these years. He even gave her a nostalgic tour of Albert Square, reigniting hopes of more drama to come.

Joel Beckett Reveals How His Surprise Return Happened

“My agent got a phone call asking would I be interested in going back. The second sentence was, ‘just for a day,’” Beckett said. “I assumed it would be something to do with Chrissie, but didn’t expect to go back on the Square. I thought, a day going back there after such a long hiatus would be great. It was a lovely day out.”

Reflecting on the experience, he added, “Although it was a new set, it felt really familiar, like I’d never been away. You never forget Albert Square. Everything wasn’t as wobbly! The Square felt sharper and upgraded, but at the same time, it still felt like home.”

Could Jake Moon Be Back for Good?

With fans desperate for more Jake Moon, could Joel Beckett be gearing up for a longer stint on EastEnders? Only time will tell. One thing is certain – viewers will be glued to their screens, waiting for the next twist in Albert Square’s saga.
