Tragedy on A5: Man Killed in Crash with HGV Near Gailey
A fatal smash has shut down the A5 near Gailey this morning (10 November). At 11.40am, emergency services rushed to the scene between Stretton and Gailey, close to Ivy House Lane, following reports of a collision involving a HGV and a Peugeot 308.
Tragically, the 59-year-old driver of the car died at the scene. The road remains closed both ways as police carry out a serious collision investigation.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
