Young Dad Stabbed to Death at Crossharbour DLR Station

Brutal Evening Attack Rocks Crossharbour

Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) have launched a murder probe after two men were stabbed at Crossharbour DLR station on Tuesday evening (10/07).

Just after 6pm, emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of a stabbing. Despite frantic attempts to save him, a 19-year-old father of one tragically died at the station.

Second Victim Hospitalised with Serious Injuries

A second man sustained stab wounds and was taken to hospital by ambulance. His condition remains serious but stable.

The victim’s family have been informed and are being supported by trained liaison officers as the investigation unfolds.

Station Closed as Police Hunt Attackers

Crossharbour DLR station remains shut this evening while specialist officers carry out enquiries. No arrests have yet been made.

Detective Superintendent Gareth Williams said:

“This was a shocking act of violence in broad daylight, which has seen a man tragically lose his life and another in hospital with serious injuries.”

He added:

“We believe a group of young men were involved in an altercation at the station before two people were stabbed. We’re doing everything to find those responsible.”

Williams warned:

“This level of violence is rare on the rail network. We’ll be boosting patrols near Crossharbour in the coming days to reassure the public.”
