Firefighters raced to the scene after police spotted smoke billowing from an alleyway in Portsmouth just after 7.30pm.
Blaze in Kingston Crescent Alley
Officers on patrol noticed smoke pouring from an alley between Kingston Crescent and Heathfield Road. They quickly called in the fire brigade.
Children Blamed for Fire
It’s believed some kids set fire to wooden drawers and rubbish dumped in the alley.
Swift Firefighter Response Saves Homes
- Two fire crews from Southsea attended.
- They used a high-pressure jet hose to douse the flames.
- Thankfully, the fire was put out before it could damage any nearby properties.
The incident was declared over shortly after 8.10pm, leaving the neighbourhood safe and sound.
