Asda Supermarket Shut Down Amid Hunt for Fugitives

In a dramatic turn, two of the suspects were tracked down to a nearby Asda on Whalebone Lane North. The supermarket was temporarily closed and evacuated as a precaution. Police swiftly arrested both men on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

No Shots Fired, No Injuries

Despite the tense situation and the presence of armed officers, no shots were fired by police or suspects. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries either at the initial scene or inside the supermarket. The store has now reopened, though all four men remain in custody as investigations continue.

“Armed police officers were among those who attended and two males have been quickly arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary,” a Met Police spokesman confirmed.
