Suspects Nabbed After Theft Spree Near River Area
Kent Police swooped at 11.25pm on Wednesday 15 March 2023 after reports of a suspicious man lurking near a River property.
Officers from the town’s Local Policing Team quickly detained the man. He was caught with a bank card belonging to someone else and arrested on suspicion of theft.
Stolen Car and Card Spark Chain of Arrests
Further checks at the scene revealed a bank card and a car had been stolen from a nearby property earlier that day. The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned by the A299 Thanet Way.
Near the abandoned car, police arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of motor vehicle theft.
Four Arrested as Investigation Continues
Meanwhile, another man was arrested in Dover linked to the same crime.
All four suspects remain on bail as enquiries into the theft ring carry on.
