Four Men Arrested Over Solar Farm Heist in Kent

Police swooped in Sandling Lane, Maidstone, at around 3.30pm on Monday 11 December 2023, detaining four men linked to a daring daylight theft.

Stolen Vehicles Caught on the Road

The suspects were stopped driving two vehicles reported stolen earlier that day from a solar farm in Staple Street, Faversham. The crime was uncovered by employees arriving at the site around 6.30am, who found eight solar batteries, a portable heater, and the two vehicles missing.

Burglaries and Bladed Weapon Charges

  • Four men arrested: aged 19, 43, and 53 from Ashford, plus a 35-year-old from Tunbridge Wells.
  • All face burglary and theft charges.
  • A 52-year-old man was also arrested for possession of a bladed article in a public place.

They have all been bailed until Sunday 10 March 2024 as investigations carry on.
