Greenock Assault and Robbery: Police Hunt Two Suspects

Police Scotland in Greenock are on the lookout after a shocking robbery and assault inside a Wellington Street property. The attack happened at around 2.10pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was rushed to Inverclyde Hospital but has since been discharged. Detective Constable Laura Sokolov is leading the investigation and said, “Our enquiries into this are ongoing, and we are keen to trace two men believed to be involved in the incident.”

Descriptions of the Suspects

  • Suspect One: Medium build, dark shaved hair, wearing a black Celtic T-shirt with “Magners” on the back, grey jogging bottoms, black trainers, and black gloves.
  • Suspect Two: Slim build, dressed in a black puffer jacket with a small white logo on the left chest, black jogging bottoms, black/white/grey trainers, and black gloves.

Police Urge Public to Come Forward

Detective Constable Sokolov appeals for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area around the time of the attack to get in touch.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have any other information which could assist us, including dash cam and private CCTV footage in the area, to get in touch,” she added.
