Operation Jemlock: Fighting Knife Crime Since 2019
Launched in April 2019, Operation Jemlock targets the surge in serious violence and knife crime across West Yorkshire. Thanks to extra funding from the Home Office, the operation has cut knife-related offences and robberies significantly.
“This day of action was organised as part of Operation Jemlock with a view to ensuring any weapons that had either been hidden or discarded in areas were removed prior to any incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour during what is always a busy and eventful evening and night,” said Insp Graham Dyson of the Huddersfield NPT.
