Between 8pm and 8.20pm on Tuesday 16 March 2021, terror struck a quiet Clapper Lane home. Four men wearing balaclavas, black gloves, and dark clothing burst into a private residence. They assaulted a woman in her 50s, reportedly binding her hands and legs before ransacking the property.
Thieves Make Off With Valuables
The gang fled with a haul of jewellery, a watch, cash, and two mobile phones. The terrifying ordeal has left the victim shaken and the community on edge.
Police Hunt for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Detective Inspector Darren Reynolds from the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad urged locals to come forward. “We are appealing for anyone who saw suspicious activity or vehicles around Clapper Lane between 7pm and 8.30pm that evening,” he said. “Dashcam or CCTV footage could be crucial in catching these criminals.”
