Climate Fury: Protesters Hit Out at UK Gov Over New Oil and Gas Licences

Protesters Demand an End to Fossil Fuel Madness

Young activists are pouring their anger into a tearful ballad pleading with the UK Government to halt new oil and gas projects. The song paints a grim picture: “123 dying from starvation can’t sleep. Communities staring down devastation can’t sleep.” They ask a brutal question – why should climate criminals like Rishi Sunak and his fossil fuel cronies get a peaceful night’s rest while the planet burns?

Meanwhile, teenagers protest on the streets only to find themselves imprisoned — without convictions. The campaigners slam the Met Police for cracking down on peaceful marchers instead of the “real criminals,” namely the Prime Minister and oil barons pushing dirty energy for profit.

“It’s disgraceful that an unelected Prime Minister should throw our futures away to line the pockets of fossil fuel lobbyists. Any politician with true care for Britain would ban all new oil and gas licences immediately,” protesters rally.

Chris Packham and Donors Double Down on Donations

Wildlife presenter Chris Packham joins forces with a group of generous donors who’ve pledged to double all public donations to Just Stop Oil between 10am on 30th November and 3rd December. Every pound you give, they match — turning pennies into pounds for the planet.

“Alarm bells are ringing! Good! The world’s leaders are sleep-walking to oblivion,” says Packham. “It’s time they woke up and took real action to save the environment.”

Mass March to Confront Government’s ‘War on People’

Just Stop Oil, fuelled by grassroots support, calls on UK citizens to join a mass march on 2nd December, starting at 12pm from New Scotland Yard. Protesters vow to fight back against a government “waging war on its people” by imprisoning peaceful demonstrators while sanctioning over 100 new oil and gas projects.

“We’re united in demanding an end to new oil and gas developments,” campaigners declare. “It’s not a question of if we’ll win — but when.”
