Community Champion Gurvinder Sandher Wins Top Kent Award
Gurvinder Sandher has scooped the prestigious Invicta Award for his stellar work promoting positive community relations across Kent. The accolade was handed to him by Kent County Council Chairman Lesley Game during a full council meeting on Thursday, 10 March 2022.
County Council Hails ‘Enormous Force for Good’
Mike Hill, Kent County Council’s Cabinet Member for Community and Regulatory Services, delivered a glowing tribute in the Chamber at County Hall.

He is an enormous force for good in the county and a great friend to this Council. I am pleased and proud to support his nomination for the Invicta Award.”

Mr Sandher doesn’t shy away from sensitive topics. His work tackles serious issues like forced marriages, honour-based violence, domestic violence, County Lines drug problems and mental health stigma. He has been heavily involved in community cohesion and equality for over 20 years.
