Fiery pitch invasion at Gillingham FC match sparks arrests!

Mayhem erupted after the Gillingham FC vs Rotherham United game on Saturday 30 April 2022. Scores of fans stormed the pitch, sparking fights and flinging objects in a chaotic scene.

Police Crack Down on Pitch Invaders

Officers have pored over footage from several angles to identify troublemakers involved in the disorder. So far, eight men have been arrested on suspicion of public order offences, including violent disorder.

  • 23-year-old man from Rochester
  • 27-year-old man from Tonbridge
  • 25-year-old man from Maidstone
  • 25-year-old man from Gillingham
  • 25-year-old man from Sheppey

Investigations continue into offences by supporters who jumped onto the pitch from the Rotherham end of the stadium. Police are urging anyone who recognises the men pictured to come forward immediately.
