Guns Galore! The Met’s crack Specialist Crime Command have swooped in east London, nabbing a loaded Glock handgun during a dramatic stop on convoy vehicles in Victoria Park Road, E9.

Armed Officers Strike

On Tuesday, 25 May, armed cops pulled over two cars travelling together. Inside were three men and one woman. The suspects didn’t get away with a thing after officers found a loaded Glock tucked away in the first vehicle.

Four Arrested Over Firearm Possession

The driver of the first car got slapped with a firearm possession charge. Not just him — the pair of men and the woman in the second car were also arrested. All four were hauled off to an East London custody suite, waiting for their turn in the interview hot seat.

Rare Glock Firearm Seized

“I’d like to reassure local residents and Londoners that Glock handguns like the one we’ve seized are extremely rare in London,” said Detective Inspector Glenn Butler from Specialist Crime North Command. “My team and Met specialists are obsessive about tracking down and confiscating weapons like this.”

The Glock is now in expert hands, being examined to nail down the details. Meanwhile, the Met’s Specialist Crime Command remains on red alert, determined to snatch any illegal firearms threatening London’s streets.
