Man Shot in Dagenham – Airlifted to London Trauma Unit

A man has been rushed to a London trauma unit after a shooting rocked Dagenham on Thursday evening.

Armed Police and Paramedics Swarm Maplestead Road

At around 6.30pm, armed officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics descended on Maplestead Road. The area was swiftly put into lockdown as the London Air Ambulance landed nearby.

Emergency doctors performed life-saving treatment on the victim before airlifting him to hospital. His condition is reported as serious.

Massive Police Operation Underway

More than 40 officers, including specialist Trident detectives and forensic teams in blue suits, swarmed the scene. They conducted thorough searches of the house and garden as a property remains sealed off.

The road is still closed with police guards and cordon tape in place, maintaining a tight crime scene.

Met Police Set to Launch Appeal

The Met Police have been contacted for comment and are expected to issue an appeal for information soon.
