Woman Fighting for Life After Chingford Hit-and-Run – Man Arrested
Detectives are hunting for witnesses after a woman was left fighting for her life in a horror crash in Chingford.
Early Morning Crash on Station Road
Police were scrambled to Station Road, E4, at 3am on Monday, 7 May, following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian.
Officers found that a car had struck a female pedestrian, who was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Her identity is still being confirmed.
Driver Arrested at the Scene
The vehicle involved was a Ford Focus. The 23-year-old male driver stayed at the scene and was promptly arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He is now in custody at an East London police station as inquiries continue.
