Man Arrested Over Gosport Assault Released Without Charge
Police are still hunting for witnesses after a brutal assault left a 54-year-old man with serious head injuries in Gosport.
Victim Suffers Multiple Facial Fractures
The attack happened outside a home on 1 Road between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday, 15 July. The victim was rushed to hospital with fractured cheekbones and a broken eye socket. He has now been discharged but is recovering from his injuries.
Suspect Description and Arrest
The victim described his attacker as:
- White male
- 20-25 years old
- Short blond hair
- Medium build
A 20-year-old man from Gosport was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. However, he was released without charge but remains under investigation.
