Man Held Over Fatal Fire That Killed Child and Two Adults
A 54-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a horrific house fire claimed three lives, including a young child, in Rushton near Kettering.
Tragic Loss at Former Station House
Northamptonshire Police confirmed the victims: a 30-year-old woman, a 23-year-old man, and a four-year-old girl all died after the blaze tore through a former station house on Friday night.
The suspect, a local man from Kettering, was arrested on Saturday and remains in custody as the murder investigation unfolds. The families have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
Community in Mourning, Police Offer Reassurance
“We know this incident has caused significant distress locally,”
said Chief Inspector Paul Cash.
“Our officers will remain in the area to provide reassurance and help where we can.”
Despite emergency services rushing to the scene, none of the victims could be saved. The investigation is ongoing, with the cause of the fire still unknown but treated as suspicious.
