Man Brutally Attacked Stopping Car Theft in Hawkinge
A man was viciously assaulted after trying to stop thieves towing his car in Millfield, Hawkinge, just after midnight on Sunday, 19 April 2020.
Thieves Caught Red-Handed
Four men in a silver or green 4×4 tried to tow away the victim’s black car. Spotting the theft, the owner sprinted from his house to intervene.
Violent Attack Leaves Victim Injured
The group punched him, threw him to the floor, and stamped on him multiple times before speeding off and ditching the victim’s car nearby.
The man suffered facial, rib, and back injuries but has now been released from hospital.
