Man Punched in the Face in East Park, Southampton

Police hunt witnesses after a shocking attack in East Park, Southampton. A 55-year-old man was ambushed and punched, leaving him with a suspected fractured cheekbone.

Attack in East Park

The victim was walking through East Park on Sunday, June 5, between 6.30 and 7pm when he was suddenly surrounded by a group of four people. One attacker delivered a brutal punch to his face.

Victim Treated and Suspect Arrested

The injured man was rushed to Southampton General Hospital, treated, and later discharged. Police quickly arrested a 20-year-old Southampton man in connection with the assault. He’s now been bailed until July 14 while enquiries continue.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
