Shock in Orpington: Emergency crews rushed to Beaumont Road, Petts Wood, after a man was found dead inside a home on Wednesday morning.
Paramedics Find Man Unresponsive
At 11:16am on 26 April, police and London Ambulance Service arrived at the scene. They found a man in his early 70s unresponsive inside the property.
Met Police, Fire Brigade & HART Team Respond
Alongside paramedics, officers from the Met Police and the HART team, plus the London Fire Brigade, were all called in to assist at the scene.
Death Declared, Investigation Underway
A spokesman for the police confirmed the man was pronounced deceased at the location. His next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem is planned to determine the cause of death.
The death is currently described as unexpected and unexplained but not suspicious.
