Man, 29, Rushed to Hospital After Brutal Tooting Assault

A 29-year-old man was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Monday following a savage assault on Coverton Road, Tooting.

Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 1:19am after reports of a violent attack. Paramedics treated the victim’s serious injuries, which are thankfully not life-threatening.

Police Launch Full Investigation

The area remains taped off as forensic officers comb the scene for clues. So far, no arrests have been made. Officers are working to piece together what sparked the attack.

“Officers were called to reports of an assault in Coverton Road, Tooting, at 01:19hrs on Monday, 17 February. A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are confirmed not to be life-threatening,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson. “No arrests have been made at this stage. A crime scene remains open while forensic officers conduct initial investigations.”

Authorities urge anyone who saw the attack or has CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around that time to come forward immediately.
